Pier and Beam Foundations
Pier and Beam Foundations
The Pier and Beam foundation pictured below belongs to Ralph Murphy, one our customers. Ralph is the owner of Artizan Wall Finishes. His speciality is Venetian plaster wall finishes. Not sure what that looks like? The pink background on this page was created from a sample of his work. Enjoy the photos of us building his foundation and make sure to visit his site to learn more about this beautiful art form. You will find it here. Artizan Wall Finishes

Piers are drilled and inspected, Steel is placed in the holes and concrete is poured.
Forms are set in place, staked, braced, and double checked for accuracy.
Steel is set in place and tied. Girder block locations and beam elevation are marked and set. Pier cans are made ready to pour.
The pump is in place and ready to transport the concrete to the forms. Concrete is carefully placed, consolidated and finished.
Once concrete is cured forms are dropped. Plumber comes next then the framer. A home is well on it’s way to completion.
Before the masonry is installed the porch caps must be poured. Pictured is the front porch made ready for concrete placement.
The concrete is in place and ready to be finished.
The porch cap brings the entry up near the finished floor level. Note the height of the porch. Steps will be required.
The back porch is shown here poured up near the finished floor level just like the front porch.
Here is the finished home with the steps and sidewalk in place. The high porch creates a grand entry into this beautiful home.

Piers are poured and forms are on the job and ready to set.
